How-to guides

To get started, you need to set up PRODA to access the online services of TCSI. Depending on your subscription level, you can then set up the data groups to define whether fields can be edited and whether records can be uploaded from Excel files.

Attention. If you do not have the role StatutoryAdmin, ask an administrator to set up PRODA and the data groups for you.

Submissions opens on the Notifications page with alerts from TCSI and system information. You can sort and filter notifications and the records of data groups. You can also adjust the layout to suit your preferences.

  • View notifications
  • Adjust the layout
  • Filter records to find the records of interest. You can filter records by the columns of the data group and have multiple filters. You can also filter records by Error Text and Error Number to find records with errors.
  • Download and delete notifications. To delete notifications, you require the permission Notifications delete.

You should approve and submit records manually until you are confident that the submissions process is working correctly. Once the submissions process is working correctly, you can set the records of data groups to be approved and submitted automatically.

If you have level 2 subscription, you can edit records and bulk edit records. You can also upload and download records to Excel files.

For students, you can Send for TFN verification to trigger the TFN verification process being triggered within TCSI and the ATO. For example, when you receive a notification that the TFN verification process has expired or the student has subsequently informed them the ATO has been updated with the correct information.

Attention.

The permission TFN Verification required to send for TFN verification should only be granted only to users that understand the impact of triggering a verification after the notification has been received that the TFN verification period has ended.
