Courses HEP
The records of the Courses HEP data group detail the offered HEP courses. Each CoursesHEP record must be linked to a Courses of study record. You cannot delete a Courses HEP record if the record is linked to an active Course admission, Early exit award, or Aggregated award record.
Attention. A Courses HEP record has the extensions Fields of education and Special interest course.

Code that uniquely identifies the course, such as 22477VIC.
Full name of the course, such as Advanced Diploma in Building Design.
The course name must be unique.
Standard duration of the course in years. The duration is a whole or a decimal number with one digit to the left and a maximum of three digits to the right of the decimal point. That is, a course with a duration of two and a half years would be 2.5 and a course with a duration of three years would be 3.
Note that the following have a duration of 0:
- Non-award courses
- Cross provider programs
- Units of study undertaken through OUA
- Courses that are available only on a part-time basis.
Date from which the course is valid, such as 01/01/2019.
Note that it is acceptable for the date to be rounded-down to the nearest half-year.
Date until which the course is valid, such as 31/12/2024.
Empty if not applicable.
Unique identifier for records previously migrated from HEPCAT to TCSI.
Code that identifies the course of study for this course, such as A300.
Linked from the Courses of study data group.
Unique identifier from the student management system.
The date and time the record was last submitted. N/A if the record has never been submitted.
The current status of the record. The Record status table details the icon, label, description, and status bar colour for each status. Hover over the status icon to see detailed information.

Pending delete | Record is flagged for deletion. |
A small triangle in the status bar indicates that the record has not been saved after making changes.
If selected, the record has been approved. The check box is disabled, greyed out, if:
- The data has unmet dependencies. For example, a student in Course admissions record has not yet been submitted to TCSI.
- The data is in progress of being sent to TCSI. That is, the status is processing.
