Course admissions HEP
The records of the Course admissions HEP data group detail the admission of students into HEP courses and provides data such as type of attendance and highest attainment of the student. Each Course admissions record must be linked to a Students record and a Courses record.
Attention. A Course admissions HEP record has the extensions Basis for admission, Course prior credit, Course specialisation, HDR end user engagements, Scholarships, and RTP stipends.

Code that uniquely identifies the student, such as 100798425.

Code that uniquely identifies the course, such as A3001.
Linked from the Courses data group.
Date on which the student began their course, such as 01/06/2018.
Code that identifies whether the student attends the course on a full-time or part-time basis, such as 1 - Full-time attendance.
Required for students in a research masters or research doctorate course.
Code that indicates the highest educational level previously achieved by the student, such as 300 - Bachelor's degree. 000 if the other codes do not describe the student’s level of attainment.
Required for domestic students.
ATAR indicates the student’s relative academic ranking in high school and is a numerical value between 0.05 and 99.95. 0 if an ATAR is not available for the student.
Required for domestic students who are recent school leavers.
Selection rank score is the student’s ATAR after adjustment factors have been applied to assess their admission into a course and is a numerical value between 0.05 and 99.95. 0 if a selection rank score is not available for the student.
Required for domestic students who are recent school leavers.
Date on which the HDR thesis was first submitted by the student.
Required if the HDR student submitted a thesis.
Code that classifies the primary field of research for the student's HDR degree, such as 0901.
Required if the student is in an HDR course.
Codes are taken from the ANZSRC (Australian and New Zealand Standard Research Classification):
Classifies the secondary field of research for the student's HDR degree, such as 0403.
Required if the student is in an HDR course that has more than one field of research.
Codes are taken from the ANZSRC (Australian and New Zealand Standard Research Classification):
Code that uniquely identifies the course, such as A3001.
Linked from the Courses data group.
Code that categorises the outcome of the course, such as 6 - Transfer to complete a related course.
Not required until after the E592 Course outcome date.
Date on which the student completes the requirements of their course, such as 01/10/2020.
Not required until after a student has completed their course.
Unique identifier for records previously migrated from HEPCAT to TCSI.
Unique identifier from the student management system.
The date and time the record was last submitted. N/A if the record has never been submitted.
The current status of the record. The Record status table details the icon, label, description, and status bar colour for each status. Hover over the status icon to see detailed information.

Pending delete | Record is flagged for deletion. |
A small triangle in the status bar indicates that the record has not been saved after making changes.
If selected, the record has been approved. The check box is disabled, greyed out, if:
- The data has unmet dependencies. For example, a student in Course admissions record has not yet been submitted to TCSI.
- The data is in progress of being sent to TCSI. That is, the status is processing.
