Student OS-HELP loans - Details

Code that identifies the student's status for a unit of study, such as 204 - Paid the full student contribution up-front.

Date that the student incurred their OS-HELP loan debt, such as 19820203 - 3 February 1982. 00000000 if the student did not incur an OS-HELP loan debt.

Payment amount for the six-month OS-HELP loan study period, such as 800.00.

Loan fee amount for a unit of study. 0 for exempt and overseas students.
If a student has a HELP loan for the unit of study, then the value for the loan fee must equal 25% of the E558 HELP loan amount. For VET courses this amount must equal 20% of the E558 HELP loan amount.

Date on which the student started the six-month study period for which they are receiving the OS-HELP loan, such as 19/09/2019.

Primary country code where the student receiving an OS-HELP loan will study, such as 6201 - Japan.
If the student is studying in multiple countries, the primary country is the first country in which the student receives credit.
Country codes are taken from the SACC (Standard Australian Classification of Countries):

Date that links the student record for an OS-HELP language study loan with the OS-HELP loan record for study in Asia.
Required only when a student has received both an OS-HELP loan for study in Asia and an OS-HELP language study loan.

Language code for the language a student is studying, such as 7101 - Cantonese.
Required only for students studying a language in preparation for OS-HELP loan supported study in Asia.
Language codes are taken from the ASCL (Australian Standard Classification of Languages):

Secondary country code where the student receiving an OS-HELP loan will study, such as 5203 - Malaysia.
If the student is studying in multiple countries, the secondary country is the second country in which the student receives credit.
