Groups
Groups keep you in contact with people from all areas of campus life. Join groups to get the latest news sent to your newsfeed. You can create groups and invite other people to join.
View your group invites, groups you've joined, and suggested groups you can join.
Invites shows the groups you've been invited to join. To view all your group invites, select
.For each invite, you can do the following:
- Accept the invite to join the group: select . The group invite is removed from your invites list. Once you have accepted a group invite, you can view the group details, post on the group timeline, and view and interact with group posts on your newsfeed.
- Decline the invite if you don't want to join the group: select . The group invite is removed from your invites list. Open groups you've declined to join feature on suggested groups.
Your groups shows the groups you have joined. To see all the groups you have joined, select new group, select .
. To create aFor each group you have joined, you can do the following:
- As a group member, if you want to leave a group, select .
- As a group administrator, if you want to update group details, or add or remove members, select .
- To view the group details and timeline, select the group name.
Suggested groups shows the groups that you haven't joined yet. To view all the groups you can join, select and to join a group, select .
In new group, you can create groups and invite people to join.
For each new group, you can do the following:
- Add a Group name and Image. Note that a square image of 1000 x 1000 pixels is recommended.
- Set the Group type to open (anyone can join) or closed (requires a Group password) to new members.
- Select Group is read only so only group administrators can post to the group timeline.
- Add a Group description, Website name, and Website link, which show on group details.
- Add a Group short description, which shows on groups.
- To invite people to join your group, go to Add members and Group admins. You can use email addresses when inviting people to join the group.
Group details shows the group timeline, where you can create your own posts, and view and interact with posts from other group members.
On group details, you can do the following:
- About

View the group description and Create a post to the group timeline.
- To attach images, files, or videos to your posts, select to attach images or to attach files or videos.
- To like posts and comments, select Like , to leave a comment on a post, go to Add comment.
- To report abuse or inappropriate content, select Report.
- Members
- Send group invites and see who else has joined the group. To create a post to the group, go to Post to timeline.
- Task board
- View group tasks and the group member assigned to tasks. To add new tasks to task lists, select . You can give your tasks titles and descriptions and assign group members to your tasks. To add a new task list to the task board, select Add a list....
- Files
- View the files attached to group posts. To download the file, go to the file name.
- Images
- View the images attached to group posts. To download the image, go to the file name.
- Group admin
- To update the group description or add group admins, go to Edit group settings. You can also Add members or Remove membersfrom the group.
