How to set up document intelligence
Map the document types to the system document type. For example, map the document type Passport - Indian to the system document type Passport. Then, select the extraction mode, such as Controlled automation, and select the document auto-linking.
Set up a document type to use document intelligence as follows:

Add the document type, such as Passport - Indian, if not already defined. On Admissions Settings, go to Reference data and then Documents and then Document types. Then, select
and define the document type as follows:
- Name

Enter a unique name for the document type, such as Passport - Indian. The value must not exceed the maximum length of the corresponding field in an integrated system, such as a student management system.
- Document category

Select the category of documents with this document type, such as the category Formal identification.
- Description

Enter a description used to select the document type, such as Passport - Indian.
- Maximum size (MB)

Enter the maximum file size in the range is 1 MB to 15 MB.
- In use

Select In use so that documents for this document type can be uploaded.
- File types

Select
to ad the accepted file types for upload, such as Image JPEG file, PDF document. Values are defined in reference data for File types.

Define the document mapping. On Admissions settings, go to Reference data and then Applications and then Document type mapping. Then, select
and define the document type mapping as follows:
- Name

Select the document type, such as Passport - Indian.
- System document type

Select the system document type Passport.
- Extraction intelligence mode

Select the extraction mode, such as Controlled automation. For more information, go to Extraction modes.

Select the document linking mode, such as Automatically link documents from the same applicant. For more information, go to Document auto-linking.
