Identity and immigration

The Identity and immigration tab details the identity and immigration status of the applicant. Applicants may have several passports and visas.

Attention. If the applicant is a Australian citizen, they are not required to provide visa details.

Visa requirements summary

The Visa requirements summary details the visa required status and CoE status.

Visa required status
Visa required status is a follows:
  • Eligible: Applicant requires a student visa and is eligible for CoE.

  • Not eligible: Applicant requires a student visa, but is not eligible for CoE.

  • Not required: Applicant does not require a visa.
  • Other visa: Applicant already has another visa that allows them to study so does not require another visa.

  • Required: Applicant requires a student visa and therefore needs to be issued with a CoE.

Actions you can perform:
  • Change the visa sponsorship status: go to the menu button sub menu and then select  Edit and select the status.
  • Add joint sponsorship: go to the menu button sub menu and then select Add joint sponsorship. Then, select the application for joint sponsorship.
CoE status
The CoE status details the status of a CoE for the applicant such as Ready and Issued. Issued means the applicant has been issued with a CoE document.
Actions you can perform:
  • For applications that are not started, set the CoE status to ready for CoE once all the conditions are met: select Set ready for CoE.
  • For application that are ready, upload the CoE document to issue the CoE: select Upload CoE document.
  • For applications erroneously issued with a CoE, select Reset CoE.

Immigration summary

The immigration summary is populated when the application is created, therefore you can only edit this information. The immigration summary details the Visa sponsorship status, the Settled or pre-settled status, whether a study visa is required, and whether the applicant has Indefinite leave to remain.

Actions you can perform:

  • Update the immigration summary:  select the edit record button or go to the menu button sub menu for the record and then select Edit.

Passport

Details the applicant's passports and whether the passports have been Verified. If verified, the verifier and date of verification will display next to Passport number.

Actions you can perform:

  • Add the first passport : select Add passport or the add record button and then select the Passport. After adding the first passport or visa, select the add button or the add record button to add another.

Document intelligence can create or update a passport automatically. Depending on the extraction mode, you may be prompted to review a draft of the information extracted from the document. Reviewing a draft enables you to check the extracted information and choose the information to use in the passport record.

The document used to extract the passport information is shown with the icon document used to extract content . Actions you can perform:

  • View the document: select the menu button sub menu and then select View document. The document then opens in a new tab.
  • Unlink the document: select the menu button sub menu and then select Unlink document. Then, the document is no longer available to be viewed.

Visa

Details the applicant's visas and whether the visas have been Verified. If verified, the verifier and date of verification will display next to Visa number.

Actions you can perform:

  • Add the first visa: select Add visa or the add record button and then select the Visa. After adding the first passport or visa, select the add button or the add record button to add another.
