Document type

Defines the document types, such as Passport and Transcript, the file types of documents, and the maximum file size.

The document type GeneralOfferEvidence defines the document placeholder for general offer evidence.

The maximum file size has a range from 1 MB to 15 MB. Document types that accept video or audio files require a larger maximum file size than those that accept only text documents and low-quality images. For example, a document type for passports accepts PDF or JPG files up to 5 MB. Restricting the maximum file size for documents assists in the efficient management of the following:

  • Database space and costs.

  • Upload and download speeds in times of high usage.
