What is tagging?

Tagging enables tags to be added to applicants and applications. Tags highlight additional information, which may have importance when processing applications. For example, tags can warn that applicants have criminal convictions or expulsions. Tags are colour-coded where, for example:

  • Red tags warn that applicants have criminal convictions or expulsions.

  • Yellow tags alert to the international applicants that require visas.

  • Green tags inform that applications should be given priority.

  • Blue tags inform that applications are noteworthy.

Tags are defined by the applications reference data Tag in Admissions settings. Tags are for applications or person. Person tags are displayed on the applications overview.

Permissions define whether you can view tags and whether you can add or remove tags.

Tags are managed on the application overview. The image Tagging shows an application with the following:

  1. Applicant tags Criminal conviction and Mature student.

  2. Application tags Priority and Noteworthy.

  3. Manage tags to add or remove tags for applicants or applications.

Tags can be displayed in applications list and in the search results of application queries. For applications with several tags, lists show one tag followed by the number of hidden tags, such as +3 for three hidden tags. To view the hidden tags, select the number of hidden tags such as +3.

The image Tags in lists shows how the tags that were hidden after the number of hidden tags +3 was selected.
