Statement and reference
The Statement and reference tab details the personal statement and references of the applicant.
For UCAS applications only. From September 2026, statements will consist of answers to the following questions:
-
Why do you want to study this course or subject?
-
How have your qualifications and studies helped you to prepare for this course or subject?
-
What else have you done to prepare outside of education, and why are these experiences useful?
Applications can have up to three active referee or reference records, which are indicated with status Current and are specific to a statement type, such as 1, 2, or 3. Any other records are marked as Historic.
