What's new in Admissions?
The August 2025 (2025.08) release updates the following features:
Applicant portal
A few small problems have been fixed and a number of visual improvements have been implemented in the timeline and the task page in the applicant portal to make the user experience of applicants more engaging and pleasant. Applicants must choose if taking credit offers or offers without credits prior to confirming their decision to accept offers.
The video Applicant portal improvements shows how applicants can view outstanding and completed tasks. Applicants can search for tasks. Applicants can choose to view the tasks for all applications or a specific application.
Admissions officers can now collect financial details and overseas health cover information from international applicants as part of the student visa preparation process. Applicants with an unconditional offer and a visa status of required or eligible will see the form when accepting their offer in the applicant portal with the following questions:
- Student financial declaration
-
Applicants complete a financial calculator to determine their anticipated total expenses, which includes travel costs, tuition fees, and living expenses. Values are hard-coded values based on the Australian market.
- Overseas student health cover (OSHC)
-
Applicants select which overseas health cover option they require. The options are defined in reference data and Overseas health cover type. The option for applicants with their own cover, such as None, I will arrange my own cover, must have the code NO. If this option is selected, applicants will be prompted to provide details of their cover, including provider name, membership number, and expiry date.
Once the applicant has accepted their offer, admissions officers can review these on the Questions & Responses tab of the application.
The short video Offer acceptance questionnaire shows the offer acceptance form on the applicant portal and the applicant's responses on the Questions and responses tab.

A new CoE section has been added to the key processing actions, which enables staff to view when an application is ready for preparing for a CoE, and when it is ready for a CoE to be issued. Applications appear in the Prepare for CoE and Issue CoE actions when the relevant criteria are met. For example, based on the Visa required status, and offer and acceptance status of the application.
