Permissions
Details the roles and permissions of users.

The Admin area is the parent area for all authorisation areas and has the Edge Administrator role.
Child areas inherit all the roles, permissions, and group assignments of the parent area. For example, the child area Admissions has the Applications area, which has the Desk access child area.

The roles of an area. You can add roles. For example, to add custom roles in desk-based processing. You can edit and delete custom roles only.
Each role has a Role name, Description, and if the role is Inherited.
To view the Role permissions and Groups of the role, select the role.
For roles that are not inherited, you can edit and delete the roles.

The permissions of the role. Each permission has a Permission name, Description, if the permission is Inherited, and if the role has the permission .
If enabled, you can edit the permissions of roles. Clear or select the permission as required and then select
.

The groups assigned to the role. Each group has a Group ID, Description, and if the group is Inherited.
To add a group, select and enter a group name and, optionally, a description.

Applicants belong to groups assigned to roles with permissions to access the applicant portal and upload documents on the applicant portal. |

Applications |
Admissions officers processing applications must be assigned to roles in several areas to process applications. For example, assigned to roles in the Admissions area Applications to view applications and to roles in the People area Data to view the person profile of applicants. |

Workflow |
Admissions officers automating processes with workflows require workflow permissions in System admin. |
