Qualifications are defined by the reference data Qualifications. Qualifications must have In use selected for the offer to be available.
Pre-requisites
Adding a qualification requires values from the reference data detailed in table Pre-requisites.

Add a qualification
To add a qualification, go to Reference data and then Applications and then Qualification. Then, select 
and define the information required for the qualification:
Code
Unique value, such as DNUR, that must not exceed the maximum length of the corresponding field in an integrated system, such as a student management system.
After saving, the value cannot be edited.
Description 
Description that is used to select the qualification, such as Diploma of Nursing.
The description can be translated.
Qualification type
Qualification type, such as Academic qualification.
Values are defined in the reference data for Qualification type.
Qualification level
Qualification level, such as AQF level 5.
Values are defined in the reference data for Qualification level.
Qualification subject
Qualification subject, such as Health and social care.
Values are defined in the reference data for Qualification subject.
Qualification mark scheme
Qualification mark scheme, such as Diploma.
Values are defined in the reference data for Qualification mark scheme.
Validating body
Validating body for the qualification, such as Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council.
Values are defined in the reference data Validating body.
Exam level date group
Not used.
Level points
Not used.
Maximum point score
Not used.
Weight
Weight of the points contributed by the qualification, such as 1.0.
Exam level
Code, provided by admissions agencies, that defines the qualification type and qualification level, such as GN.
Regulatory agency qualification type
Code that defines the qualification for reporting purposes.

In use
If selected, the entity or field can have the value. If cleared after the value has been selected for the entity or field, the entity or field keeps the value. However, the value is no longer available for selection.
