Tag

Tags used to group application or person information, such as Applicant under 18.

The table of values shows the tags. Each tag has the following information:

  • Code, such as U18.
  • Entity type code, such as PER for applicant tags or APP for application tags.
  • Tag type code, such as Red or Yellow.
  • Label that is used to select the tag, such as Applicant under 18.
  • Description, such as Applicants who are under 18 years of age are subject to additional checks.
  • Rank order that tags appear in the selection list.
  • If the tag is In use.

For each tag, you can add and edit the following information:

Type defines the entity type. Entity types define the colour of the tag, such as Green tag.

Values are defined in the reference data for Tag type. For more information on the tag type, go to What is the reference data for applications?

Unique value, such as RESEARCH, that must not exceed the maximum length of the corresponding field in an integrated system, such as a student management system.

After saving, the value cannot be edited.

Label of the tag, such as Research course.

Description that provides further information about the tag, such as Application to a research course.

Rank order that tags appear in the selection list.

If the tag is used with applications (Application) or applicants (Person).

If selected, the entity or field can have the value. If cleared after the value has been selected for the entity or field, the entity or field keeps the value. However, the value is no longer available for selection.
