What is the conditions flow?
The conditions flow defines the academic and non-academic conditions of conditional offers. Groups of conditions help create more complex condition flows, which can be connected with logical AND or OR operators.
For example, the image Conditions flow user interface details the conditions flow for the Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) course with ATAR or International Baccalaureate requirements.
-
ATAR
-
The ATAR requirements are:
-
ATAR of at least 69.2.
-
ATAR units three and four in mathematics methods or specialist mathematics with a study score of at least 20.
-
ATAR units three and four in English excluding English as an additional language with a study score of at least 20 or ATAR units three and four in English as an additional language with a study score of at least 25.
-
-
International Baccalaureate
-
Diploma of at least 25 points including grade four mathematics and grade four English.
The key to the diagrams is as follows:
- Academic conditions define the entry requirements of ATAR of at least 69.2 or International Baccalaureate Diploma of at least 25 points.
- Included conditions define specific requirements for academic conditions such as the International Baccalaureate mathematics and English subjects. Note that non-academic conditions cannot have included conditions.
- Groups of conditions help create more complex condition flows. For example, the academic condition for ATAR of at least 69.2, is grouped with an academic condition for mathematics, academic conditions for English, and a non-academic condition for a visa check, using AND operators as the connectors.
-
Non-academic conditions define other requirements such as a valid visa check for international students.
Attention. Non-academic conditions are added to the application as clearance checks when the decision is submitted. For more information on decision making, go to What is decision making and offer tracking.
The diagram Conditions flow chart is the equivalent flow chart detailing the conditions set out in the image Conditions flow user interface.
