Embargo settings

Filter the embargo settings by entry system, embargo type, and status to view the embargo periods of interest. Each embargo period has the following details:

  • Name of the embargo, such as UCAS embargo summer 2025.

  • Entry system of the applications from the embargo type, such as Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).

  • Embargo type such as UCAS.

  • Start date and Start time of the embargo.

  • End date and End time of the embargo.

  • Time zone of the embargo start and end times.

  • Status of the embargo, such as Upcoming, Live, and Ended.

    For a live embargo, applicants with an application made through the Entry system cannot access the applicant portal. Banners alert admissions staff to applications made through the Entry system that are under embargo.

Actions you can perform:

  • Add an embargo: select Add.

  • Update an embargo: go to ⋮ and then select Edit or Delete.
