The Identity and immigration tab details the identity and immigration status of the applicant.

Visa sponsorship summary

The Visa sponsorship summary details the visa sponsorship status and CAS request status of applicant.

Visa sponsorship status
Visa sponsorship status is a follows:
  • Eligible: Applicant requires a student visa and is eligible for visa sponsorship. For applicants eligible for visa applications, create a CAS request.

  • Not eligible: Applicant requires a student visa, but is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

  • Not required: Applicant does not require visa sponsorship.
  • Other visa: Applicant already has another visa that allows them to study so does not require visa sponsorship.

  • Required: Applicant requires a student visa and does not have another visa that allows them to study. Checks are needed to make sure that the applicant is eligible to be sponsored for a student visa. For more information, go to UKVI student sponsor guidance.

Actions you can perform:
  • Change the visa sponsorship status: go to the menu button sub menu and then select  Edit and select the status.
  • Add joint sponsorship: go to the menu button sub menu and then select Add joint sponsorship. Then, select the application for joint sponsorship.
CAS request status
The CAS request status details the status of a CAS request for the applicant such as Not stared and Assigned. Assigned means a CAS number has been received from UKVI.

To create a CAS request: select Create CAS request.

Immigration summary

The Immigration summary is populated when the application is created, therefore you can only edit this information. Applicants may have several Passports and Visas.

Attention. If the applicant is a UK citizen they are not required to provide passport and visa details.

Identity and immigration information is as follows:

  • Immigration summary details the Visa sponsorship status, the Residential category, the Settled or pre-settled status, whether a study visa is required, and whether the applicant has Indefinite leave to remain.
  • Passport details the applicant's passports and whether the passports have been Verified. If verified, the verifier and date of verification will display next to Passport number.
  • Visa details the applicant's visas and whether the visas have been Verified. If verified, the verifier and date of verification will display next to Visa number.

Actions you can perform:

  • Add the first passport or visa: select Add passport, Add visa, or the add record button and then select the category. After adding the first passport or visa, select the add button or the add record button to add another.
  • Update the immigration summary, passport, or visa: select the edit record button or go to the menu button sub menu for the record and then select Edit.
