What is completion?

Completion defines the action to take after completing the processing of applications. You can only perform completion actions on applications with a completion state of Received. The completion actions are as follows:

Send to enrolment
Send an application to enrolment to set the completion state to Sent to enrolment. Workflows can move applications, such as to a Ready for enrolment folder, when the completion state is set.
Close application
Close an application to set the completion state to Closed. Workflows can move applications, such as to an Archive folder, when the completion state is set.

After completing an application, the application should not be further processed. However, you can reset the application if, for example, you notice an error. Resetting an application sets the completion state to Received. Workflows can then move the application. For example, move the completed application from the Archive folder to the Unallocated folder for further processing.

Workflows can complete applications automatically, such as when applications are rejected or when an applicant accepts an unconditional offer. For example, a workflow can be defined to automatically set the completion state of an application that is rejected, to Closed, and then move the application to a Rejected applications folder.
