What are offers?
Offers are the conditional offers, unconditional offers, and rejections used in decision making. Conditional offers define the entry requirements of
Offer libraries
Offers form the main decision and additional conditions for the entry requirements of programmes and decisions making. Unconditional offers and rejections are used for the main decision only. However, conditional offers can be used for the main decision, additional conditions, or both.
Unconditional offers and rejections
Unconditional offers and rejections consist of offer text for the main decision. Rejections also have a rejection reason, such as the course is full, which is used for reporting purposes.
Conditional offers
Conditional offers consist of the offer text for the main decision and the additional conditions depending on the offer library type. Conditional offers also have a conditions flow that defines the academic and non-academic conditions of the conditional offer. By default, the offer text is from the applicant facing text of the academic conditions and non-academic conditions that form the conditions flow of the offer. However, the text can be edited as required.
Offer text
Offers have a main decision offer text and an additional conditions offer text depending on the offer library type. The offer text consists of the text from the applicant-facing descriptions on the academic and non-academic conditions. The text is used in communications with applicants and explains the decision, such as the reason for rejecting an application. For more information on correspondence with applicants, go to What are communications templates?
